Okay, so honestly I don't even remember Casey ever being called the leader . . . and really, doesn't it make sense for their MASTER to be in charge?!?!?!?! Sure, Casey's worked really hard, but no matter how hard you work someone who's been doing it for six months or whatever isn't going to be as good as someone who's been doing it for years. I think he should have admitted that RJ SHOULD be in charge. Casey's so whiny, it's driving me crazy.

Haha, I complain a lot, but here goes again!
WTF is with the Dominic storyline??? You know, I was really looking forward to meeting one of RJ's old friends, but could they have rushed it ANY more?! I can't believe the guy's a ranger and everyone's all chummy already, it's weird.

That was rushed, I agree. They spend too ,many pointless episodes stalling till new characters and storylines are introduced, and by then they have to rush into them.
I do have a fondness for Dominic already, though. Not quite as strange as RJ, just a normal goofy guy. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him.

Hmm . . . I guess if you compare both of their “feeling replaced” episodes. But pretty much the only resemblance is the fact that both felt like someone was taking their place. Personally, I think Rocky’s ep was done WAY better. You could really see why he felt that way, to begin with, Jason was the red ranger that he replaced, so him coming back was bound to make Rocky nervous. Everyone was so thrilled to have Jason back, he was amazingly hot, an awesome fighter/ranger, and everyone wanted to hang with him instead. Theo, however, was upset cause Lily was spending a lot of time with Casey, the new guy who was just thrown into the whole rangering deal. Even though Lily assured him that wasn’t true. Plus, Theo blamed Casey for it all— of course— and caused a big rift between the three rangers for the whole ep. Rocky resented Jason, but he at least had the decency to keep it a little quieter. And he had a real nice apology at the end, unlike Theo as well. I hate Theo. Also, Jason handled the whole thing SO nicely, whereas Casey . . . Anyway, I don’t even know if that was the connection between Rocky and Theo you were talking about, it was the only thing I could think of. But I don’t think the characters really had anything in common. I actually went back to watch this old episode where Rocky takes on Mondo alone and while creative and definitely Rocky's number 1 episode in Power Rangers is very slow and not used much. Granted, he got injured soon afterwards, so nothing could happen but still. Not sure what Jason being hot or not had to do with anything. All other points about Mighty Morphin are pretty good. The theme behind the character I think was the connection. Rocky-Jason; Theo-Casey.

I'm just going to go thru all what Danni said, since most of my responses watching these episodes are the same. I'm just going to guess how it goes... The producer or whoever's in charge of schedules or whoever's getting them behind isn't on track. So later on, i.e. 5th ranger debut, they have no choice, but to rush the episode (and maybe even turn more than one episode into one). Another theory since there have been fewer episodes post-Disney is that they gotta send a tape or DVD or whatever every time they finish an episode and that time lag through technical problems or who lost who across half the globe causing delays in tapings. This kind of character I disliked most with Leelee, so I'll just call it the "Leelee character." I don't know why there's a bunch of characters Disney adds in for no particular reason and attempt to make them like stars, when they don't seem like it at all. Saban was a lot better at just using characters as supporting roles i.e. Mighty Morphin love interests without trying to make them look like the stars of the show when they really weren't. It's really hard to consider Fran a whiny b*tch, since she has the backbone of an jellyfish.. A lot of these things seem like they could've been better explained or built up... Or just taken out. It really seemed artificial how they put all these plots in the same episode. This half of the episode seems really un-Casey-like (more like a Theo storyline), even if he had tried to do a really hard job becoming a Ranger. RJ's always been emphasizing the Bruce Lee philosophy of a "student teacher" anyway, so I really didn't see the difference. The basketball shot beating Dai Shi thing feels very interesting though. Oh well... at least this half way point of the series doesn't involve Casey turning into an android.... I think I'm finally getting to remember his name now... I'll just have to work from there.

The spirit rangers . . . not sure what to think about them yet! Interesting, though.

I still haven't watched the ep all the way through, but it's kinda interesting how they're doing it. I just wish they hadn't brought back those Masters for it . . .

So I finally caught up on the last six episodes or so, and I'm definitely not impressed Can't really go through all of it, but it was all just done poorly. Lily's random terrible dancer friend and Theo's surprise brother . . . The Spirit Rangers had potential but they didn't measure up. Bleh. Dai Shi and Camille are the only great parts. I actually fast-forwarded through lame fight scenes to get to theirs! I adore those two-- I'm dreading the finale!!!

I really didn't find Jungle Fury so interesting. It was a good series, but not phenomenal. They did not include any really good older Rangers. If only Disney learned from Power Rangers Dino Thunder, they'd realize that old is gold and what the people really want.

Jungle Fury is better than PROO so far, but I agree it's not great. I liked how it started out but then it got worse and worse. I don't think they really need to bring back old rangers all the time, but it needed something!

I wish they'd dug a little deeper into the stories, there's so much surface-scratching it pains me Every character had potential, but they haven't done anything and it's a little late now!

I agree. Unfortunately the season wasn't as good as it could have been, character-wise. And only three episodes left, it seems incomplete. I haven't seen the episodes yet, but I feel like they will either be rushed into conclusion, or left with too many loose ends. Just can't see how it will work.
