I heard a nasty rumor that Jungle Fury would be the last live action season for Power Rangers. Can anyone confirm this?
And, if so, does this mean they're going to start animating PR? Hell, thats probably a good idea as they could do almost anything in animation. No worries about trying to get actors to come back, no stunt doubles, nothing. Plus, they could interact with any season they wanted to.

I've heard the rumors as well, but I've also heard the producers, etc talk about the seasons after like they were going to happen. Some say it will go on as long as Sentai, but that seems to be wearing down too, though not as much as PR. It may depend on how Jungle Fury does, OO boosted the ratings a little after MF.
Animation is a likely possibility, which would suck seriously. I've hated the last couple seasons, but nothing is worse than cartoons.

If PR went Animated it would really suck, considering this is like the sixteenth season or so I'm not sure how much farther they can go mean Jungle Fury in away is similar to Wild Force. But They may be able to go farther it basically depends on Sentai but if it went animated I'd more then likely stop watching it, that could be just me but um yeah.

Next Sentai series doesn't look very promising, either way I think PR is winding down to a big crash and burn. If we go animated, I'll probably cry, and then stop watching. If we keep going liveaction I'll keep watching till the end, but I'll probably hate it even more with each season.
But you know, one of the things that has ALWAYS made PR cool (though to a lesser extent anymore) is the fact that we had real people going out there and fighting the monsters. You know, the cool weapons, zords, and martial arts made the show. Animated, you could do anything and it'd just be another super hero show.

PR's mad expensive to produce, but if they wanted to make an animated series, they really don't need to cancel the live-action series to do so....

Im glad that we're not going animated yet, but I do think it opens up a lot of opportunities for power rangers if they did eventually move in that direction. The special effects could possibly become better and the characters could do more action/fighting wise. Plus, they might even let the rangers get banged up again (bruised/cut) and such like the saban area. I mean, doesn't digimon or anything get hurt? I'm not sure, I don't exactly watch it but I thought they did. I think they could make it more realistic. Plus we might have characters longer than 32 episodes >.< but I will say that I would miss the live action a lot. I just don't want to knock down the animated idea until I actually see the direction they want to go.

I don't see how animated could be more realistic . . . I mean, things could happen that they won't do in live-action, but I could never get past watching drawings on the TV. Cartoons don't appeal to me in any way. So all the bright sides (getting hurt, longer seasons, special effects) are cancelled out for me. But I suppose it's better than them cancelling it, at least the rest of the fans could still enjoy it . . .

I am happy to tell you that Power Rangers will not be animated nor cancelled. The next season for 2009 has been selected and it is going to be known as Power Rangers RPM. I have also included a link for those people that want information on it: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Rangers_RPMAlso if you check your stores you will find that the action figures are already out.

Why Power Rangers shouldn't go animated- www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iio4MP8j_e4 Sorry. Can't get the youtube button to work dang. Burgandyranger said that animated shows get their worst ratings. I don't think Bandai would like a show with the same characters too long, because otherwise they'd lose sell less toys since more rangers/zords/etc wouldn't appear. Live action toei footage wouldn't be used either which would be a waste. Also, most of my friends consider animation more mature and live action less for whatever stereotypical reason.

I can't imagine finding animation better than live-action . . . they aren't real! lol, I've enjoyed some anime, but I could never get past that completely. And I agree with Danni from ages ago, live-action is what makes PR different from any other superhero kids show. Word is there are no plans to continue either way, though. Just repeats from now on It's sad, but we had a better run than most other shows like us!
