So here's how this is going to work, once a week, I will post a link to a "Power Rangers" fanmade video...mine, Sreym's, and any others I can find (with permission, of course). Once the link is posted, we'll discuss the video, praise it, critique it, etc. Anyway, I'll start us off and we'll see how it goes Video Of The Week (7/19-7/26)Power Rangers Time Force "World On Fire"www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nO2Y30gXG0Summary: Alex has the weight of the world on his shoulders as he struggles to find a way to save the love of his life, and his friends, from a gruesome fate...but no matter how hard he tries, everything falls apart.

This is a really interesting idea, I like it. I think you should choose for now, and then if one of us comes across one we'r particularly interested in, we can mention it and it can be your vid for next time.
Anyway, one thing I really love about this vid, besides the always-original theme of it, is the song choice. Sarah MacLachlan always adds a haunting effect to videos, and with the sad theme of this one already it suited it perfectly. You always impress with your take on Alex, and your ability to somehow make a whole video about him, especially with a set theme.

All right, works for me! How about if I not only post my videos, but also some of Sreym's as well? Sarah MacLachlan is amazing....you're right, it's so haunting. Thanks for letting me know what you thought about it!

lol. I brought up the idea of this vid section and haven't replied yet. lol. I dunno. I guess it's pretty much the PR Unlimited MV section, except it's might be easier to get back & forth commentary on the forums...
Probably cuz it's Sarah MacLachlan, but "World On Fire" does have a real WB/CW/whatever they call it now. Really adds to the soap opera dramatic that way. Really good video. My only issue was that maybe there was too much Alex-Jen-Wes conflict, when it should've started with Alex-Jen for a little longer, than went to the conflict.. but not big complaints still really good. My idea behind the forum was like "Behind the Video" stuff. I know you like Supernatural and was wondering if you watched a WB show that inspired you to make the video or something like that. Any improvements you wanted to make on "World on Fire?"

I was wondering when you would show up, Richard! I think this will be a lot of fun, it's nice for me to get a chance to revisit some of my older videos, too....and put in some input for other peoples videos. To answer your questions....I made this video while I was in Iraq, and what inspired me to do it was Myriah had sent me an amazing video about the movie "Troy" set to the same song. I just fell in love with it, and felt like the lyrics really fit Alex. I have watched the WB, shows like "Smallville" and a little "One Tree Hill", but I don't really think they had any impact on this video.... As for anything I'd like to change....hmm, well, it was one of my very first videos, so I was a novice with Windows Movie Maker, so I'd probably be able to do a better job with it these days. I'd probably change the light effect I have on some of the clips, keep the general idea of it but find a better effect to suit the video.

I love the new video in this thread, Myriah did a really great job!!! Especially because it was one of her first, I saw on the site. I love how the song encompasses all of Power Rangers and what it stands for. Although I'd like to see an all Time Force one myself, I think that would be really good.

Video of the Week (7/27-8/03)Multiple Seasons "Affirmation"video by Sreymwww.youtube.com/watch?v=dxswfWInNZ4Summary:This video is about all that the Rangers stand for: Love, peace, friendship, family, etc. It spans the generations, all the way from the original team till PRMF and features every Ranger from every team! lol. I haven't watched Affirmation in a while... It's a really good piece too... It's like a little mini Power Rangers' history lesson inside... First, you have them all hanging out in the beginning. Some are even in teamups like Lightspeed/Lost Galaxy & Thunder Storm. The scene where Leo is smiling "at the camera" is actually where he's smiling at a little kid after sneaking on board. I'm also trying to remember how many episodes is Andros actually in Angel Grove High? The first line of the song has to do with Sierra's "World on Fire" vid. Wondering if that was intentional.. I don't remember the junkfood episode of Lost Galaxy.. lol. "I believe your parents did the best job they knew how to do" is straight from the episode "Return of the Green Ranger" where Kim gets bummed out about her divorced parents and thought they wouldn't show up for PTC. "Beauty Magazines" is from the episode Dana is a model. "I believe in Karma" is from the episode "Shane's Karma." "I believe you can't appreciate love until you've been burned" is from "There's no Business like snow business" one scene of it anyway.. "I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side" is about how Eric's gap with Wes, because of upper/lower class differences. "I don't believe you don't know what you have until you say goodbye" is the reference to Leo & Kendrix's unrequited love & then "The Power of Pink." "I believe trust is more important than monogamy" is a reference to the rocky relationship or lackthereof between Joel Rawlings & Ms. Fairweather. "Heart & Soul" doesn't really have to do with anything I think, but may be the rough edges of Taylor & Eric compared to how they are on the inside. "Family" Thunder Brothers. "Struggle for financial freedom is unfair" Jack presuading Z to help others in SPD "Beginnings." "I believe those who disagree are millionaires" is the reference to Wes & his father's disagreements on how money should be used, which is a really sweet contrast between the two time-related series. "can't appreciate love till you've been burned" is the reference to the episode Marah or Kaprih (forgot which is which) is good one episode. "the pastures are no greener on the other side" I think is Sky in "Idol" after having to take down Drew and then using Jack's toothbrush after Krueger's punishment.. :/ "Force from the future." "Forgiveness" Cole & Master Org's alter ego. "Undressed" I think is cuz Joel's packed up to go on his honeymoon, but has to save the day again. "I believe love surviving death until eternity" is the reference to "End of Time" when Jen is forced to leave by Wes before she can say goodbye & Jen getting mindwiped (where all of the Rangers are thinking- "I'll never forget you, Wes.) Two "Grass is no more greener on the other side"s I think it's between Jason & Emily & the episode where Emily gets a job at the Juice Bar instead of stealing I think.. Goodbye is like the intro, except with Goodbyes.. lol I probably could name those times too, but I'm tired... lol.

LOL, Richard....I can say that the line you took to be related to my "World On Fire" video actually had nothing to do with that. I made my video quite awhile after she made this one.

Nope, nothing to do with the vid, just the story. I'm not sure what most of your post was supposed to mean, honestly . . . I didn't think I put MF in the vid either, I think only SPD was around then And Rach, glad you liked the vid, and an interesting idea about the TF version! lol, if I still did vids I might attempt it

This was a really good idea! I haven't watched most of the videos on PRU, so this is a cool way for me to get to see them. I watched both World on Fire and Affirmation and both were amazing. I like how both of them dug deeper into the stories and meanings of the songs. You're both really talented
